Leadership In Training Program

Overview:

Ignite Robotics, in partnership with Blaze Robotics, runs VEX V5 competition events and coaches competitive robotics teams. We are seeking motivated volunteers to join our Leadership in Training Program, supporting our mission to inspire students in STEM through hands-on robotics education. This program provides training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to paid opportunities within Ignite Robotics.

Program Goals:

  • Develop leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.

  • Gain hands-on experience in STEM education and robotics competitions.

  • Support students, instructors, and competition events in meaningful ways.

  • Provide a pathway for dedicated volunteers to transition into paid positions.

  • Strengthen Ignite Robotics’ community presence and program impact.

Program Roles and Responsibilities

TA / Instructor Assistant

Support instructors in creating a safe, engaging, and educational camp environment. Responsibilities may include assisting with activities, supervising campers, and helping with materials setup. Prior experience with robotics or 3D CAD design is preferred but not required. Full-week commitment (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM) is strongly preferred.

Camp Operations Assistant

Support the camp director with daily logistics, including serving as front desk for camper check-in/out, lunch supervision, light clean-up, material preparation, activity setup, photography, Friday presentation preparation, and parent communication. Flexible morning or afternoon shifts available: 8:30AM - 1:00PM or 12:30PM - 5:00PM.

Other Roles

We also welcome volunteers with expertise in areas such as marketing, social media, website development, event coordination, graphic design, or other relevant skills. Please list your preferred roles and relevant skillset in the following question.
